WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
Why I Photograph Weddings
There are few days in our lives when the people we love most gather together under one roof. A wedding celebrates not only two people making a commitment to each other, but also the family, friendships, and memories that have shaped their lives. It is one of those rare days when love is not only felt, but clearly visible.
I feel incredibly fortunate to witness this from behind my camera. I see the joy of a couple surrounded by the people who have shaped their lives, and the happiness of family and friends who have the opportunity to express how much they love them. It is a true exchange of love, and it is tangible. I can see it, and I love to photograph it.
My favorite wedding photographs are often the ones where clients tell me they remember exactly what they were thinking or feeling when the image was taken. Years later, they don’t just see what happened — they remember how loved they felt in that moment.
My parents’ wedding album gives me a glimpse into their lives before my brother and I were part of their story. It’s part of our family history, and something I cherish. When designing albums with my clients, I often think about how these photographs will be remembered years from now — by the couple, their families, and the generations who come after them.
