Why I Photograph Wedding Anniversaries

I think what I love most about anniversary celebrations is that they are just as much about pausing to appreciate the past as they are about looking forward to new memories to come.

It’s beautiful to see and document two people who have built a life together, surrounded by the family and friends who have been part of their individual and collective history. Every person in the room represents a piece of their story. As spouses, children, grandchildren, siblings, and lifelong friends, they’ve each shared in different chapters of their lives — and now they’re all here together, celebrating how far they’ve come.

It is not just about documenting another year together. It’s about the big picture — celebrating their love and the people who have played important roles in their lives.
