Planning

We’ll review the lighting, stage setup, venue and band restrictions, schedule, key moments, and logistical details before the performance. This planning helps identify the best opportunities for live coverage, behind-the-scenes photography, and the moments that best capture the energy of the show.

We’ll discuss the location, available lighting, intended compositions, and how the images will be used. When working alongside a video crew or production team, I’ll coordinate with their workflow and capture the necessary images while remaining unobtrusive.

We’ll determine the number of compositions needed and how the images will be used to guide the creative direction. Once I understand the artist and the vision for the project, we’ll collaborate on location, lighting, wardrobe, and other details to bring it to life.

Photography needs vary depending on the project. We’ll discuss how the images will be used — including promotional materials, websites, social media, press, album artwork, or other applications — so the appropriate licensing and delivery can be determined.

A certificate of insurance (COI) is available upon request and is standard operating procedure for many music venues.
