Wedding & Event Photography Agreement

Thank you for reserving my photography services for your wedding or special event.

This agreement ensures clear communication and a positive experience for all parties. Please print or screenshot this page for your records.

 

Booking & Payment

A non-refundable 50% deposit is required to reserve Dana Siles Photographer (the “Photographer”) for your wedding or event (the “Date”). If a second shooter is required, an additional $500 non-refundable deposit applies. The remaining balance is due three weeks prior to the Date. Deposits are transferable.

If payments are not received on time, the Photographer may be released from obligations, and deliverables will be withheld until full payment is received. If the Date changes, the Photographer may retain the deposit. If available for the new Date, an additional equal non-refundable deposit is required.

Services

The Photographer’s services are personal and unique; obligations cannot be assigned without Client consent. If unforeseen circumstances prevent the Photographer from attending, she will make reasonable efforts to provide a comparable photographer at no additional cost. All conditions and fees of this agreement will apply. If no replacement is available, prior payments will be refunded.

The Photographer will use all reasonable efforts to fulfill the required services and warrants that all services will be performed in a professional manner, in accordance with industry standards. The Client agrees to indemnify and hold the Photographer harmless for any third-party claim.

Products from coverage and complete collections are delivered 2–8 weeks after the event:

  • Proofs: Lightly edited proofs with medium “Proof” watermark

  • Dana’s Selects: Fully edited images with small logo watermark

Prints are paid in full at the time of ordering, and albums require a 50% deposit with the full balance due before delivery. Production timelines are 2–8 weeks for prints and 2–4 months for albums.

Copyright & Usage

Negatives and high-resolution JPG files are not automatically included with wedding or event photography services unless otherwise stated in the service description. All negatives and high-resolution files remain the Photographer’s property until the Transfer Date, which occurs when:

  • The Client purchases prints or a complete Heirloom Album valued at $1,500 or more, or

  • The Client purchases coverage including high-resolution JPG files, or

  • The Client purchases high-resolution JPG files in lieu of an album or prints, with access provided via their online gallery.

After the Transfer Date, Clients may reproduce photos from high-resolution JPG files for personal use. Social media sharing must include the Photographer’s watermark. Unauthorized commercial use is prohibited. The Photographer retains copyright of all images and may use them for portfolio, editorial, social media, advertising, or other promotional purposes.

Additional Terms

  • Photographer requires a hot vegetarian meal timed with guests’ main course for events lasting four hours or longer.

  • Travel beyond 90 miles of Providence, RI (or 60 miles from Armonk, NY on select dates) may require accommodations and/or a mileage fee of $1 per mile.

  • Rhode Island Sales Tax (7%) applies to all purchases. Payment is accepted via personal or business check, PayPal (4% processing fee), or wire transfer ($15 fee). Returned checks incur a $25 fee.

  • Prices quoted for services, albums, negatives, and prints will stay in effect for up to six months after the shoot date. After six months, services, albums, negatives, and print prices are subject to change.

 

After accepting the agreement, you’ll be directed to submit your 50% deposit. Dana will then reach out personally to discuss next steps.
